NGK Ceramics USA Members Assist With United Way Day Of Caring
On September 12th, twelve members of NGK Ceramics USA and six of their family members participated in the United Way Day of Caring. The kickoff started at 8:00 AM and included a Zumba warm-up. A large number of the members helped spruce up the outside areas of the non-profit Angels and Sparrows Soup Kitchen in Huntersville. The group worked on outside landscaping, garden work, painting of fences and power washing sidewalks. They worked really hard to make sure the organization looked good.
The other part of the group went to the Mooresville Christian Mission. The mission provides a food pantry for families in need. Their clients have the ability to select their own food instead of receiving pre-packed or standard bags of groceries. Clients have the opportunity to choose items their family prefers and can meet their needs for health and personal reasons. The group had to separate all the different food groups into boxes. These boxes of food will be used to stock the shelves for the Food Pantry.
President Steve Dailey who participated in the day’s activities said that the Day of Caring is an opportunity for our members to help some other individuals and organizations that could use an extra boost.
Thanks to everyone that participated and showed the NGK spirit by donating their time and efforts to assist others.
